    Hi,
I read your top 10 or so article about what you should have known before moving to Israel. My husband and I are considering relocating there for his job with Boeing but, we wanted to know first from someone who has lived there longer than us; some guidance in preparing for the move. What do we need to get besides our passports? What is the housing like? Is there a dress code? What is required if I want to home school our children? Please can you give a list of how we can be best prepared to have a smooth transition to a new country? We have lived in Japan before but, that was through the military. So, we didn’t need much, just our military ID’s. Today is different now that we are honorably discharged and raising our family. By the way, do they have any villas big enough for a family of 8 and a dog? :) I look forward to your advice and guidance. Baruch HaShem!

    Subject: Baby Gifts to Israel!
Hello Jennifer, I read your WSJ article about moving to Israel while searching for a baby store in Israel for which I could buy a gift card while in America. My friend just had a baby (she lives in Haifa) and I want to send her a gift card. I saw from your post that you did some baby shopping in Haifa, albeit 21 years before writing the article! Would you have any recommendations for friends wanting to send gift cards from abroad?
    Thank you!
